Review and Reflect!

When I first started The Vampire Zombie College project I didnt have a clue where to start. I hardly ever play on video games however I did watch Vampire and Zombie films. So they were where I got my researh from.

The first thige had to do was make a mind map about Characters, Weapons, Zombie Vampires, wich rooms not to go in and so on. Considering the game was set in a College I couldn't think of any weapons you cold use. However once I staed thinking about the courses the College provided I realized I could use drills ad scredrivers from the mechanics courses and kifes from the culinary courses. Once I realzed this, th task became preet easy.

We were also took aroundthe College to take pictures and videos for us to photoshop them later. To be honest  tink everyone knows how to use a camera especially me to again this part was pretty easy but the photoshop after I found hard to do. This was y first time using Photoshop andit was difficult to make ot with icons idi what. The idea was to really just mess around on the Photo but after experimenting with it I found yself enjoying it and making a half decent Zombie. ater on we had to use Photo shop again and placed Zombies into our College pictures. I foundthis hard at firstbut aftter using a tool called feathering it helped me out.

Having not played any Zombie games myself I used Google to research bot old and new films for ideas. We foundas may pictures as we can and paced tem all on the blog and then we coped videos and also placed them on the blog. My favourite Film was Salems Lot whih I found really scary when I was younger so I picked that one.

We also had to use a new programme called iMovie. This allowed use to upload videos and edit them to our liking. Our favourite video was of a trailer of Shaun of the dead so I chose this one. I think cutting up the video was simple to so. You could also add you own sound effects to it to make it even better.

I think I have done everything as best I could. The things I found hard where the very beggining with the mindmap and also the Photoshop and maybe could have done them better buy using more tools in the Photoshop and more reasearch in the mindmap. Taking pictures was easy and i dont think I would need toimprve n that at this very moment. Over all I think I done great.

Zombies in the college!

Using photoshop we copied and pasted zombies into the college. Therefore it looks like zombies have actually taken over the college.

Photoshop faces!

Today we used photoshop again but this time we used two picture faces and swapped the features on the other.

Picture 1

Picture 2

Picture 3

I have swopped the mouth and nose from picture 1 and copied it into picture 2.

iMovie!

Using a clip of the trailer of shaun of the dead I used iMovie to edit the clips and make it my own.
I took a print-screen of the program and this is what it looked like.

In this program you can edit any clip you want. You can also add background music.

Here is my finished edited version of shaun of the dead trailer.

Link!

This is the link to a scene in the zombie film 28 days later. In this scene it shows the zombies running wich is not a normal zombie feature but works well for this british film!

I got this video from http://www.zimbio.com/ !

Later on we will be creating our own movie then cropping them into these videos.

Pictures and Videos in the College!

We took pictures and videos today on a digital camera in the college for when we photoshop them into the scenes from our game. We made sure we took pictures of students to then make them into zombies later!

This picture could easyly be changed into a huge group of Vampire Zombies taking over the College!

This again looks like Zombies coming towards the College!

The College is completely surrounded by a caged wall!

A video to give movement to our Zombies!

Many of these pictures are practicly either empty or with a crowd. This could look like many zombies together even without using photshop for each individuals characters in the photo.

Photoshop!

My First attempt at Zombie photoshopping!

Today we used photoshop to try and create our own zombies. We used and practiced all the different effects and features on the photoshop program.  To create the zombie look I paled his face using the dodge icon and using the sponge icon I soaked the color form his skin. Also to make him more zombie like, I colored his eyes in red!

For my first attempt at photoshop I think it went pretty well, although he may not look like the scariest zombie but it was a succesfull try.
